What Are “Bypass Levels” in Walter?
When you use the Humanizer, the Bypass Level controls how aggressively Walter rewrites your text to avoid AI detection tools like Turnitin, GPTZero, or Originality.ai. There are three levels: Simple, Standard, and Enhanced. The higher the level, the deeper the rewrite, and the more it changes your sentence structure and vocabulary.
Simple
- Light rewrite
- Best when your original text already sounds fairly natural
- Keeps your voice and flow intact
- Low risk of distortion
Use for: blog posts, casual writing, low-risk assignments
Available on: Free trial + All plans
Standard
- Moderate rewrite
- Stronger protection against common detection tools
- Changes sentence structure, rephrases more thoroughly
- Balances clarity
Use for: essays, research summaries, business reports
Available on: Starter + Pro + Unlimited
Enhanced
- Heavy rewrite
- Highest protection: designed to deeply reshape text and avoid all major AI detectors
- May sound less natural or introduce minor grammar issues
- Best when detectability is a top concern
Use for: Long-form content where structure patterns need to be broken up
Available on: Starter + Pro + Unlimited
Pro Tips
- Start with Simple. It often does the job without making your text sound off.
- If your score is still high, move up to Standard or Enhanced, but always review the output.
- Enhanced may distort meaning, don’t rely on it blindly.
- If you’re writing something important, edit your text before and after using Walter.
