# Getting Started with Walter Writes AI Detector

With Walter's **AI detector**, you can check if your text is at risk of being flagged as AI by popular tools like Turnitin, GPTZero, and Originality. Here’s everything you need to know to get started. 

## **How to Use the AI Detector**
Checking your content takes just a few seconds. From the left-hand menu, click **AI Detector**.** **
1. **Paste or upload your text**
2. Click **Scan for AI**. The system will analyze sentence structure, burstiness, and linguistic patterns.
3. Walter analyzes your text and gives you an AI-likelihood score.

| Tip: If you're not happy with the results after scanning, you can also use the Humanize feature to refine your draft. AI detection is never 100% certain, but our scores are strong signals based on well-trained models and linguistic markers.
